Y6 SAT tests 2012 information

Year 6 SAT test time is rapidly approaching! Children in Y6 are getting lots of homework, so please ask them every night what they have to do, and support them to complete as much as they can – any problems can be sorted in class the next day. They can also use websites such as www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/ks2 for lots of activities to help.

I’m really pleased with their enthusiasm to stay after school and do extra work!

SAT s week is the week beginning Monday 14th May. I will send a letter home shortly about it.

Next week, Wed / Thur / Fri will be SATs club for all the children.

Savannah and Kaitlin’s Report on visiting Oakwood

On the 1st of May year 3,4,5 and 6 visited

oak wood manor and sang for the old people

to cheer them up. It wasn’t far to walk and

we had fun.

We were well behaved and the old people enjoyed it

it . It Also put a smile on their faces. They spoke

to us and were very friendly. We want to visit again soon.

Oakwood Manor Concert

Children from KS2 entertained the residents of Oakwood Manor with various songs old and new on Tuesday 1st May. Everyone enjoyed the afternoon and for once it didn’t rain or snow on the walk down there! St Margaret’s children behaved perfectly and were a credit to the school. Well done all!

Just a few dates for your Diaries

Tuesday 6th March – KS2 trip to the Lowry, Salford

Friday 16th March – Non Uniform day, fine is an Easter Egg for the Easter Tea Tombola

Friday 30th March – KS2 Trip to Mersey Docks Museum ( Titanic )
Friday 30th March – Easter Tea starting straight after school in the hall
there will be refreshments available along with cake stall, Easter egg Tombola etc.

Monday 2nd April – we will be holding another school disco for all pupils from 6 – 8pm
Refreshments available as per usual

Just a reminder that this Saturday (2nd July) from 10.00am until 2.00pm sees this years Summer Fair.
There will be a whole range of activities taking place including a bouncy castle, bottle tombola, chuck a wellie, coconut shy, refreshments and much much more.
In addition alongside the summer fair will be a car boot sale, with spaces available at £5.00 if pre booked and £7.00 on the day contact 01457 857729 to book your spot.
